Memo : Phone calls & voice scams

The three golden rules: the displayed number proves nothing, hang up and call back yourself, never give out a code.

The costliest scam: spoofed number, banking vocabulary, and three fatal requests, codes, app validation, "safe account".

Tech support, tax office, training schemes, parcels, police: when the caller dresses up as an institution, the same reflexes apply.

"Hurry up", "don't hang up", "don't tell anyone": the manipulator's full vocabulary, so you hang up at the first signal.

Data leaks, data brokers, forms: understand how your number circulates, and how to cut the calls off at the source.
